Hi, I’m Elisabeth
I am an active therapist with a client-centered holistic approach to my virtual practice. I provide affirming and social justice-oriented supportive care to individual clients in New York state. My professional background in sexual, reproductive, and maternal health informs my practice, allowing me to address a wide range of client needs and strengths.
I'm committed to creating a safe, respectful space for all individuals, regardless of their background or identity. Recognizing my own privilege as a white cis woman, I actively engage in anti-racism and social justice in my work through integrating an understanding of how intersecting forms of oppression contribute to an individual’s experience.
Like the aspen tree, which thrives through its interconnected root system, I believe in the power of connection in therapy.
To provide the best care possible and validate clients’ lived experiences, I regularly participate in peer clinical supervision and professional development and use a culturally humble lens. I believe that my growth as a therapist directly enhances my ability to support and affirm my clients effectively.

Together we can work on:
Nurturing your well-being during pregnancy and postpartum.
Embrace your journey through pregnancy and new parenthood with compassionate support. We'll navigate intense emotions together, build meaningful connections during times of change, and explore your evolving identity as you transition into this new chapter of life.
Fostering body acceptance and self-confidence.
Embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Together, we'll cultivate your self-worth, challenge negative self-perceptions, and explore the impact of societal pressures on your self-image.
Healing from trauma and reclaiming your life.
We'll address how trauma affects your present life without reliving the past, develop resilience and effective coping strategies, and foster a sense of safety and trust in your relationships—both with yourself and others.
Embracing your authentic self.
We'll explore your core values and beliefs, uncover how past experiences have shaped your identity, and strengthen connections with your various self-aspects. This journey empowers you to live authentically, aligning your actions with your deepest truths and embracing all facets of who you are.

I am an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, Oxford, United Healthcare, Oscar and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
My standard rate is $175 per 55-minute virtual session for clients without accepted insurance plans.
I have a fixed number of sliding scale spots for new clients.
Your Journey to Healing
My collaborative therapy process is built on creating a strong, trusting relationship through understanding your unique life story. Together, we'll explore your goals, strengths, and challenges using a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to your needs.
-
Our 15-minute call is an opportunity to discuss your needs, goals, and my therapeutic approach. We'll explore how we can work together effectively and ensure we're a good fit. To prepare for our call, consider these questions:
What specific goals or changes do you want to achieve through therapy?
What type of relationship do you hope to have with your therapist?
What concerns or hesitations, if any, do you have about starting therapy?
-
We'll meet weekly online for sessions tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll develop personalized goals, examine barriers to your growth, and work on affirming your true self.
-
I use an active, pragmatic approach that focuses on building and harnessing your inherent strengths. Drawing from diverse modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, we'll create a safe, judgment-free space for open expression.
-
The trauma-informed lens I use acknowledges that your experiences shape you but don't define you. We'll explore how social and cultural factors impact your well-being while fostering a supportive and empowering environment for healing. Together, we'll cultivate resilience and empower you to reclaim your narrative.
